I had a wild colt before Tony came to my house to help me with him. Diesel,my baby, was a severe case, I got him through a rescue, he was a premerin(sp) baby from Canada. The only contact with people before me was to get shots and his # buzzed in to him, and then loaded on to a trailer with a bunch of others and brought down from Canada, then when he got into the states he was brought to PA for a day before being loaded up again and brought to my house. And this was all at the impressionable age of 3 1/2 months, oh yeah, and he was weened from his mother a day before he left. Well if that wasn't trauma enough. He came to my house and i was not prepared for what was to come. I did not realize how much it takes to take caree of a foal. So the first thing i do is get a vet to come to my house and give Diesel any remaining shots he might need. Well that meant having to catch him, well needless to say, the Vet had to rope him, thus causing more issues with humans. This was all before I heard about natural horsemanship. About a 2 months into having Diesel I called up Tony (I got his # from Jeanie & Gus). When I say I could not get with-in 15 feet of him I am not exaggerating. He would run and buck and do what ever it took to keep me away from him. Well Tony came and changed my life and relationship with my horse. He was there for about 2 1/2 hours or so. In the beginning it took him about an hour for Diesel to squre up with him, then something happened, Diesel started to respond to everything Tony did, Diesel still had a halter on from the time the Vet came, Tony took it off and then put it back on and then took it off and so on. Well at this point I was absolutely amazed with everything. He taught me how to look at certain spots and were to face when to face when to put pressure on and when to take it off. I was able to work with hima nd take him for walks and lift up his feet and put the halter on and off, he would even lower his head for me. This is my first testimonial. tony is an awesome person and really knows horses really well. i am still impressed.
